One ite= vas noted which required a response from Consu=ers Power Company.
Frc= the subject inspection report:
We are concerned about the =issing portable air sampler noted during this inspection and also during an internal quality assurance audit in September 1976. As this sa pler would be used to deterrine a potential exposure at the access road control point in the event of an energency involving a gaseous release, please advise this office, within twenty days of your receipt of this letter, of steps you plan to take to assure that this capability is available during emergencies.
Response
During the inspection, the air sampler was undergcing routine preventative maintenance.
This was identified to the inspector.
To assure that the capa-bility discussed in the subject inspection report is provided during periods cf such maintenance, a backup battery-powered portable air sampler is being procured. This backup sa.pler is expected to be on site by Septe=ber 15, 1979 David ? Ecffman (Signed)
