Dear Mr. Grier:
On May 24, 1979, we received IE Bulletin tio. 79-11 which required a written report to be submitted within 45 day of receipt of this Bulletin.
The following is the information required by this Bulletin.
Item one of the Bulletin required that a determination of whether DB-50 or DB-75 circuit breakers with the described type overcurrent trip devices are used at our facility.
We have both the DB-50 and DB-75 type brcakers with this type of overcurrent trip device which are used in Class IE Service, Non-Class IE Service, and as spares.
Item two of the Bulletin requ bes that the existing test data for the overcurrent ; rip device of this type breaker in safety related systems be reviewed.
At the present time, the test data for these breakers is being evalua ;ed by the manufacturer.
It is expected that this evaluation will be comp ete within 30 days.
Subsequent to CYAPC0 review, this information.iill then be submitted. This reschedule has been discussed with flRC,18E Staff, and CYAPC0 on July 6,1979.
Item three of this Bulletin required that all end caps in spares be examined for visual flaws using a 3X mrpifying glass.
inis inspection has been performed and none of the end caps examined showed any signs of flaws.

Item four of the Bulletin required that test procedures and test schedules for all safety related breakers be reviewed to assure that all such breakers are tested at least each refueling outage to confirm overcurrent time delay protection.
All of the affected breakers are currently tested as part of our Preventive Maintenance Program. The procedures used to test these over-current trip devices will be reviewed and revised as required to insure that these overcurrent trip devices are set within prescribed acceptance bands.
