Censu=ers Pcver Cc=pany was requested to deter =ine whether si=ilar pipe =anu-factured by Ycungstevn Welding and Enginee-ing. Cc=pany was in use or planned fo* use in safety-related syste=s, provide infomatien regarding such anplica-t.ns, and develop a progrs= for inspecticn of any similar pipe in safety-relat-ed use.
A pr-li=ina.-/ review of the 31g Rock Point and Palisades piping specificatiens has been perfor:ed. This review has identified no uses of velded SA-312 ?/pe 3Ch stainless steel piping at Big Ecek Pcint. At Palisades, use of such piping has been identified cnly in radicactive vaste prccessing applicatiens (ncn safe-ty-relate d).
These applicatiens are s=all diameter, icv pressure syste=s.
A detailed investiga: ice of as-built and vender inic=atien vill be conducted te veri.^/ that pipe discussed in the subject Bulletin is net used in ether applications at Eig Rcck ?" int or Palisades.
