Thank you for your letter dated Jtae 7, 1979, informing us of the steps you have taken to correct the noncompliance identified in our letter dated April 23, 1979. We will examine your corrective action during a future inspection.
With reference to the Immediate Action Letter issued to you, by us, on April 6, 1979, the SD48 Smoke Detector units which you have on hand in locked storage are not to be distributed by Republic Industries Inc.,
Dor-0-Matic Division, Chicago, Illinois, when Nittan Corporation receives their appropriate licensing. These units cannot be distributed until such time that you can verify by possession of the appropriate documenta-tion, that the SD48 Smoke Detector units on hand have been tested and have passed the inspection program procedures and techniques as prescribed by and specified in the Nittan Corporation license and license application documents.
