Dear Jerry:
The State of Pennsylvania is conducting a socioeconomic study of the irpact of Three Mile Island.
In this connection I have made a report to the Insurance Com:nissioner of the state which covers claim activity through June 21, 1979.
Inasmuch as activity continues on a daily basis, this report will require an update from ti 0 to time, but : hope it will suffice to bring you up-to-date at this point in time.
There is one substantial change that bears immediate cer: rent and that relates to the class action lawsuits filed previous to June 26, 1979. As of June 27, 1979, a consolidated class action was filed and we anticipate the court will subsequently dismiss all prior pending class actions as well as several individual actions previously pending.
There have been several individual actions filed subsequent to the filing of the consolidated action, full details of which are not yet available in this office. We anticipate that these cases will likewise be swept into the consolidation.
A copy of the consolidated class acticn complaint is enclosed.
