I am pleased to submit the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's report containing contract information and data regarding OMB Circular A-76 requested in your May 14,1979 btte..
The information and data are displayed as requested.
However, because the agency does not, as yet, have an on-line computer data retrieval systea fully operational, the data compiled covers the past three-and-one-half years instead of the requested five-year period.
This corresponds to a period of tire that begins with the first full fiscal year of the agency's operation.
I ur.derstand that this is satisfactory to you based upon our discussion with Dr. Anita Gottlieb of your staff.
Further, the attached report relates to contract awards as distinguished from interagency agreements with the Department of Energy which, in FY 197E, comprised approximately 85% of the total dollars expended by the agency.
It is hoped that this information will aid your Subcomittee in its work in examining the practice of contracting out by Federal agencies for industrial-type goods and services.
