NRC STAFF'S MOTION FOR EXTENSION OF TIME On May 25, 1979, John F. Doherty, an Intervenor in the captioned proceeding, filed a pleading entitled " John F. Doherty's Additional Contentions After ALAB-535."
This filing sets forth approximately 30 contentions which Mr. Doherty seeks to have admitted as issues in controversy in this proceeding. The Staff's response would currently be due on June 14, 1979, However, due to the number and complexity of the issues raised by Mr. Doherty, Staff counsel will need to consult with the licensing project ranager and several technical reviewers in order to adequately respond to the issues raised.
The licensing project manager will be out of the i
office until June 13, 1979, and the technical reviewers involved are currently l
working on other priority review matters.
I Therefore, the Staff requests an extension of time until June 27, 1979, in which to i
respond to Mr. Doherty's contentions. The undersigned is authorized to state that Mr. Doherty has no objection to the Staff's motion.
