Hendrie Chairman Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington, D.C.

Dear Chairman Hendrie:
You will recall our meeting at the Governor's Home in Harrisburg on Sunday, April 8, 1979, during which you agreed to my recuest that Nuclear Regulatory Com ission inspectors undertake, on a priority basis, inspections of all nuclear reactors within Pennsylvania and make available to me the reports' of such :tnspections for evaluatica in light of our responsibility for the health and safety of residents of this Commonwealth.
At that time you stated that you expected such reports would be forthcoming "within a matter of weeks".
I thus write to inquire as to the present status of this undertaking in the hope that you can at this time give me a more precise estimate of a target date for the completion of the inspections and the availability of the reports.
We are most anxious to have the be tefit of these reports to aid in the consideration of irportar public policy questions for Pennsylvania.
Thank you for your past and present courtesies in this
