Dear Mr. Smith:
In past correspondence we have indicated our interest in the retention of the records of this now defunct company for use in defense in event of a possible future claim.
It is our understand ing, according to your letter of January 3,1978 and the inspection report of April 20 of that sane year that the records are now being held at HMSS until destruction your office.
is specifically authorized by May we state for the record that since the " discovery" period of our policy runs through December 31, 1988 we would like to make certain that these records are not destroyed prior to that date.
