20555 RE: Freedom of Information Act Request
Dear Sirs:
This letter is written on behalf of the City of Zion, an Illinois municipality.
Pursuant to the Freedom of Information
- Act, 5-U.S.
Code Section 552, as amended, the City would like copies of all directives, reports, memoranda, letters and the like, filed with your agency or with the A.E.C.,
which deal in any manner with incidents, accidents, mishaps and the like by Commonwealth Edison Company f or i ts Zion, Illinois, Nuclear Power generating facility.
In addition, the City would like copics of all directives, reports, memoranda, letters and the like, which your agency or the A.E.C.,
originated that pertain to or deal in any manner with accidents, incidents, mishaps and the like at the Commonwealth Edison Company nuclear power plant located in Zion, Illinois.
Further, the City is requesting that any applicable fees for the above request be waived (5 U.S.
Code, Section 552(a) 4a) because such information disclosure would clearly be in the public interest and the furnishing of the same could be con-sidered as primarily benefiting the general public.
If you should deny any part of this request, please specify your grounds for doing so.
If some documents or parts thereof are considered exempt, please provide us with a copy of the non-exempt portion.
However, the City reserves the right J
