Dear Mr. Schwencer:
Pursuant to the requirements of 10 CFR 73.55 (b) (4 ) and 10 CFR 73, Appendix B, Con Edison submits herewith for appro-val five (5) copies of its Security Force Qualification and Training Plan for Indian Point 1 and 2.
In accordance with 10 CFR 170.22, the Indian Point Unit 2 portion of this submittal has been determined to be " Class III" as it involves a single issud" and has been deemed not to involve a significant hazards consideration.
Since the Indian Point 1 portion of this submittal results directly from the proposed Indian Point Unit No.2 submittal and is essentially identical, the Unit 1 portion has been determined to be " Class I".
There-fore, as required by 10 CFR 170.22, enclosed is a check in the amount of $4,400.00 as the filing fee.
This payment is being made under protest, and Concolidated Edison reserves the right to challenge the validity of the imposition of these fees and the basis for the determination of the amounts of the fees.
Pursuant to Section 2.790 (d) of the Commission's Rules of Practice, we request that this letter, and its enclosure, be withheld from public disclosure.
