1 UNITED STATES OF AMERICA NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION BEFORE THE ATOMIC SAFETY AND LICENSING BOARD In the Matter of INTERIM STORAGE PARTNERS LLC (WCS Consolidated Interim Storage Facility)
Docket No. 72-1050 NOTICE OF INTENT TO PARTICIPATE AS A PARTY Pursuant to 10 C.F.R. § 2.1202(b)(2), the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff (Staff), within fifteen (15) days of the issuance of an order granting a request for hearing, must notify the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board (Board) and the parties as to whether the Staff desires to participate as a party and must identify the contentions on which the Staff wishes to participate as a party.
On August 23, 2019, the Board issued LBP-19-7, 89 NRC ___, a Memorandum and Order that granted the Sierra Clubs hearing request and partially admitted one contention, Sierra Club Contention 13. The Staff hereby notifies the Board and parties (Interim Storage Partners LLC and Sierra Club) of the Staffs intent to participate as a party in this adjudicatory proceeding with respect to the admitted contention.
