In response to your telephcne request, enclosed is a table surrarizing information en shipments either originating from or destined to Scuth Carolina. The information was extracted frca data collected by Battelle Pacific Northwest Laboratories (3:DlL) for NRC in 1975 (Reference Report
- S:n!L-1972, Survey of Radioactive >aterial Shipments in the United States" available through the National Technical Information Service, 5285 Port Royal Road, Springfield, Virginia 22151.)
The table gives, for each radionuclide and each transportation mode, the number of packages, transport index, activity or quantity shipped in 1975, and the maximum activity or quantity in a single package.
To avoid an unwieldy list, radionuclides witn less than 1000 packages and 1000 curies (or grams) in the year were ccmbined into "other".
