NOTICE OF DEVIATION Based on the results of an NRC inspection conducted on May 1-4, 1979, it appeared that one of your activities was not conducted in full accordance with NRC requirements as indicated below:
Criterion V of Appendix B to 10 CFR 50 states, " Activities affecting quality shall be prescribed by documented instructions, procedures, or drawings, of a type appropriate to the circumstances and shall be accceplished in accordance with these instructions, procedures, or drawings.
Instructions, procedures, or drawings shall include appropriate quantitative or qualitative acceptance criteria for determining that imporcant activities have been satisfactorily accomplihsed."
Contrary to the above, instructions or procedures have not been established which identify personnel authorized to review and approve documents which prescribe activities affecting quality. These documents include drawings, temporary canufacturing requirements and caterials testing procedures.
