FAULTY OVER-CURRT"iT TRIP DEVICE IN CIRCUIT BREAKERS FOR ENGIIIEERED SAFETY SYSTEMS NRC letter dated May 22, 1979 forwarded the subject Bulletin.

The subject Bulletin discussed degradations found in the overcurrent trip devices of

(

two specific 'Jestinghouse circuit breaker designs.

Consuners Power Ccapany was requested to determine if circuit breakers of these designs were in use at Big Rock Point and, if so, to take specific actions to address overcurrent trip device degradativn.

Neither of the two types of Westinghouse circuit breakers cited in the subject Bulletin are in use at Big Rock Point.
