This report has previously been submitted to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatcry Ccc.issien, as evidenced by Chica;c Eridge & Ircn Cc ;any's transrit:al letter of April 24, 1979 to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Ccamission, a copy of which is enclosed for your infcrmatien.

Additionally, we have enclosed for ycur files a copy of Chicago Bridge &

Iron Ccmpany's letter to '.'cstingncuse, dated April 24, 1979, providing further cen#irra:icn that the generic report prepared by veadcr incluces records pertaining to the D.C. Cock Unit 2 reactor vessel. The Chicagc Bridge i Iron cer:ificatiens stating that the re;cr: ccntains cata for the D.C. Cook Unit 2 reactor vessel is incl 2ded in Part 2 of the recort.

Westingncuse audited the subject report against the AS.'I anc W E-Spec.

Westingnouse inven-toried our archive weldment material which could be used for verification purposes en the D.C. Ecok Unit 2 reactor vessel. This material consists of one full-thickness weldment tafe up of weld wire from heat number 53956 .

and Linde Flux 120 from ict number 924.

In cenclusion, this letter provides assurance that the D.C. Cook Unit 2 reactor vessel is covered in the subject report, and fulfills Westinghouse's obligations relative to the Reactor vessel Weld Material Program contracted for by American Electric Power Service Corporation.

A copy of the Chicago Bridge and Iron generic report applicable to the D.C. Cook Unit 2 is submit +.ed for your records.
