Revision of Certificate of Compliance USA /63/B(U)
Dear Mr. MacDonald:

Hittman Nuclear & Development Corporation (HNDC) requests Certificate of Compliance No. 6574 be revised to permit the use of disposable inner containers other than those designated as HN-200-LC. Liners used irl this cask will comply with all the requirements of paragraph 2(a) with the exception of their being designated as other than HN-200-LC. That is: "A single disposable inner container consisting of a right circular steel cylinder with a positive leaktight closure cap at the top. A maximum heat load cf 205 BTU /hr. The maximum loaded weight is 7,400 pounds. " Since the Safety Analysis report was performed on the cask and not on the specific design of the disposable inner container, elimination of this requirement for a specific type of liner should be a simple adnunistrative change.
