Dresden Station Units 1, 2 and 3 Quad Cities Station Units 1 and 2 Zion Station Units 1 and 2 Response to IE Bulletin No. 79-11 NRC Docket Nos. 50-10/237/249, 50-254/265, and 50-295/304.

REFERENCE (a) :

May 22, 1979 letter from James G. Keppler to Byron Lee, Jr. transmitting IE Bulletin No. 79-11.

Dear Mr. Keppler:

Reference (a) transmitted IE Bulletin No. 79-11 regarding " Faulty Overcurrent Tr p Device In Circuit Breakers for Engineered E ty Systems".

Commonwealth Zdison Company's response to that bulletin for Dresden, Quad Cities and Zion Stations follows.

Investigations at Dresden, Quad-Cities and Zion Stations have shown that no Westinghouse DB-50 and DB-75 Circuit Breakers are used in safety-related systems at these stations.

In addition, none of these breakers are currently stored at these stations for use as spares.

Please address any additional questions that you might hafe regarding this matter to this office.
