Dear Mr. Grier:
Pursuant to the above, we have reviewed all purchase orders for safety related valves included within the Stone and Webster scope of supply, and the manufacturer's drawings for all safety related valves within the NSSS Vendor scope of supply, and have determined that 3, 4, or 6 inch diameter swing check valves manufactured by Velan Engineering Corporation are not provided for Beaver Valley Power Station - Unit No. 2. Therefore, the concerns expressed in the NRC IE Bulletin 79-04 are not applicable to Beaver Valley Power Station - Unit No. 2.
