Dear Mr. Leonard:
Your letter of June 19, 1979, to Mr. Harold Denton, regarding a meeting held on June 13, 1979 between the NRC staff and utility representatives with applications under review, has been referred to me for a reply.
In your letter you state that you did not receive the notice of meeting, dated June 6,1979, until the day the meeting was held. Therefore, you consider the notice untimely.
You also request a copy of the meeting minutes at the earliest convenience.
We are sorry that you did not receive the meeting notice until the day of the meeting.
It has been, and will continue to be, our policy to notice our meetings in a timely manner. Howver, there are times when it becomes necessary to schedule a meeting on short notice.
In the case of the subject meeting, the notice was issued as quickly as possible one week before the meeting.
A summary of the meeting, dated July 2,1979 has been prepared and a copy has been sent to Charles Corken, Assistant Attorney General, Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Per your request, we are also enclosing a copy of the meeting smmary for your use.
Please advise us if you have any other questions regarding this matter.
