Special Safeguards Review of United Nuclear Corporation This refers to the special safeguards Nview conducted by NRC representatives on October 31 - thverr er 3,1978 of activities authorized by NRC License No. 5 0-777 and to the discussions of findings held by fir. Areas examined during this special review are described in the enclosed report entitled, "Special Safeguards Review of the United Nuclear Corporation, Fuel Recovery Operation at Wood River Junction, Rhode Island."
Based on the results of this review, no items of noncompliance are cited; however, thert _re specific comments and recomendations in the report that we would appreciate your addressing in writing to this office within twenty (20) days of your receipt of this letter.
Your response will be considered by NRC in evaluating the need for making any changes in the conditions of your license.
In accordance with Executive Order 12065, National Security Information requires protection against unauthorized disclosure; therefore, the enclosure to this letter will not be placed in the Public Document Room and will receive limited distribution.
