emitted into the environment, a fact which spokepersons I

for the defendants ackno -ledged had occurred.

i neared such dangerous levels that Governor Thornburgh for the Coconwealth of Pennsylvania ordered on Starch 30, 1979 that all pre-school children and pregnant women evacuate from trithin t

five (5) niles of the Threc tiile Island Nuclear Pot;er Plant.

' flicting statements of the defendants' spokepersons and state t

I and local and naticnal government spokepersons regarding the l

langers of radiation exposure and r-potential for a i
