Dear Sirs:
Please stop the export of Nuclear Power Plants to Third World countries.
These ccuntries are most likely to use these plants for the development of nuclear weapons, thus escalating the possibility of nuclear war er nuclear ter-rorism.
The proposed Westinghouse plant to be licensed and built in the ~hilippines is as you probably know, near an earth-quake rault and active volcanoes.
The Philippines and other countries like them are ide11 places for the use of small scale solar power and alternate energy sources.
I realize that there is an obvious conflict of interest at the N.R.C.,
as your jobs depend on the existence of nuclear power; but consider the facts.
The health of our nation and the whole planet depend on the end cf this dangerous power source.
Your future generations =ust live here too.
Deny this license to Westinghouse and spare the Filippino people this unnecessary and dangerous threat to their fu-ture.
Sincerely, l
