In light of Mr. Denton's conne..to at our June 13, 1979 meeting at Bethesda regarding current NRC resource limitations, we believe it is incumbent upon both the NRC and LP6L to arrive at a schedule for the issuance of these late Round One questions. We are particularly concerned that several licensing issues have the potential for causing design changes. In this respect, we urgently request your consideration of quickly providing NRC comments or questions related to those issues for which we have requestcd early feedback.

So as to provide a basis for recovering lost licensing schedule rinc, LP&L is evalu-ating potential r:ethods for expediting elements of the schedule. We will be prepared to discuss these methods, end other matters, within several weeks and will contact your Mr. R. A. Benedict to arrange a meeting.

Yours very truly, A16Ud D. L. Aswell DLA/RWP/dc Enclosure f1j cc: Mensrs. E. Blake [) ! l JI M. Stevenson
