NRC IE BULLETIN NO. 79-04 INCORRECT WEIGHTS FOR SWING CHECK VALVES MANUFACTURED BY VELAN ENGINEERING CORPORATION NO. 1 AND 2 UNITS HOPE CREEK GENERATING STATION In reply to IE Bulletin No. 79-04 dated March 30, 1979, we offer the following response:
Investigation into the subject bulletin affirms that no 3-inch, 4-inch, or 6-inch diameter swing check valves from Velan will be used in Seismic Category I piping systems (or portions the reo f) on Hope Creek Generating Station.
