Dr. Philip F. Gustafson, Director Division of Environmental Impact Studies Argonne National Labcratory 9700 South Cass Avenue Argonne, Illinois 60439
Dear Phil:
I enjoyed meeting with you and the Illinois Ad Hoc Committee last week, and hope that your discussions with Harold Denton and Bill Russell resolved most of the questions you had regarding Three Mile Island, at least insofar as we are able to respond at this time.
I understand from your conversation with Bill Dorie yesterday, that you will not need written answers to your queries.
For that we are grateful. Staff time is at a premium and until we have completed our work on the Three Mile Island investigations, we are concentrating all of our efforts in that direction.
In the meantime, ho, lever, I have asked that you be placed on our mailing list for all significant documents related to Three Mile Island, v;hich I hope will be helpful in preparing your report for Governor Thompson.
If we can be of further assistance, please do rat hesitate to call.
Shncerely, I
