I have received your letter of June 21 and appreciate your taking the time to provide me with additional background on your successful amendment on behalf of the resident inspector program.
As you know, the Commission itself initiated the present resident inspector program with the support and encouragement of Congress about a year and a half ago.
We believe it can make a positive contribution to our overall goal of protecting the public health and safety and appreciate your recognition of its value and your support in securing additional ftnding to land the program.
