The nuclear Rer'ulatory Connission has instituted a Scecial Inquiry to review and report on the accident which tock place at tne Three Mile Island Nuclear Station Unit 2, belliining on March 28, 1979. A orinary objective of the inquiry is to nake factual deterninations concerning:
the actual events that occurreo and their causes; the actions of utility and Connission personnel before and during the accident; the energency actions taken by the various Federal, State and local agencies that responded to the accident; the of fsite inpacts of the acci-dent; and the effectiveness of co mJnications.
As a cart -f this special incuiry, mercers of the NRC investicative tean will be contact no your aqency shortly in an effort to learn the details associated with the actions taken by your organization in resconse to the Three Mile Island a cci dent. !!e would very nuch appreciate your cooneration in this endeavor.
In this renard, it would De helpful to coordinate future contacts with one eerson within your organization. Therefore, we would appreciate it if you woulo fur-nish us with the name, title, and telephone number of the individual so desiq-nated, as well a any other person that you deem accropriate.
