Waterford SES Unit No. 3 Docket No. 50-382/IE Bulletin 79-03
Dear Mr. Seyfrit:
In response to the subject IE Bulletin 79-03, the Waterford 3 Project does not and will not have any ASFE SA-312, type 304 or other welded (without filler metal) pipe manufactured by Youngstown in the Safety Related Systems.
The Applicable Specification LOU 1564.100 for Station Piping, Hausers ar.d Supports did not allow this material and Dravo Corporation has never requested any exceptions to this exclusion of material.
In view of the fact that no ASFE SA-312, type 304 or other welded (with-out fiiler metal) pipe manuf actured by Youngstown has been installed or is planned for installation in Safety Related Systems at Waterford 3 SES, the other response items of this Bulletin are not applicable.
