AECM-79/64 On May 21, 1979, Mississippi Power & Light Company notified Mr. D. S.

Pric.e of your office of a potentially reportable deficiency at the Grand Gulf Nuclear Station construction site. The deficiency concerns a problem with the gross f ailure output function of both the Master and Slave Trip Units of the Rosemount Model 510 DU Trip Calibration System. Re have de-termined that this ;atter is reportable within the meaning of 10 CFR 50.55 (e).

Details of the latest findings are describe 3 in the attached interim report and we expect to submit a final repor by November 16, 1979.
