Dear Sir:

This letter is to certify that in af opinion Mr. Perhala has the necessary qualifications for a Senior Reactor Operator's License.

In January 1971, Mr. Perhala started work in the Maintenance Department.

In May 1973, Mr. Perhala was transferred to the Operations Department as an Auxiliary Operator.

In December 1974, Mr. Perhala was prcnoted to Alternate Control Romi Operator, narticipated in the Maine Yankee Ibt License Program, was licensed in March of 1975 and procoted to the position of Control Romi Operator in April of 1975.

In March 1980, Mr.

Perhala was procoted to the position of Shif t Operating Sunervisor directing the activities of the control roca including supervision of the Reactor Operator and Auxiliary Operators.

Mr. Perhala will have completed a Senior Reactor Operator Program which camenced on October 20, 1980 and is outlined belcw:

Exa:ninations will have included various examinations throughout the program, a Company Examination, and an Independent Organizational Examination.

Based on Mr. Perhala's perforrance in the program outlined above and his experience acquired while employed at Maine Yankee, we request that he be exanined for a Senior Operator's License.
