Scuth Texas Project Units 1 & 2 Docket Nos. STN 50-498, STN 50-499 A Final Report on the Deficient Threads of Field-Fabricated Anchor Bolts Used in Construction of the South Texas Project The attached report is submitted pursuant to the requirements of 10CFR50.55(e)(3). On October 27, 1978, Houston Lighting & Power Ccmpany notified your office of deficient threads in anchor bolts that were fabricated at the South Texas Project site. The report provides a descriptien of the deficiency, the causative circumstances, and the corrective actions taken to prevent recurrence of the problem. Please note that although the original intent was to include a resolution of the improper material question in this final report, a final report on that subject has been deferred until January 2, 1980.
