The Nuclear Regulat;ory C mmission has today submitted its An iual Report on the Administration of the Government in the Sunshine Act for 1978 to the Sceaker of the House and the President of the Senate.
A co'py is enclosed.
In your letter of March 6, 1979, regardiaq the types of information to be included in tor annual report, you asked to receive comments and general views regarding our experience in implementing the Sunshine Act.
In response, we would like to note that the emergency situation created by the recent incident at Three Mile Island presented the Commission with an unprecedented, unanticipated and extraordinarily difficult challenge in terms of responding to a serious health and safety c.risis while complying with the Sunshine Act.
As a result o f that experience and continuing experience with the ongoing in vestigations, we may later wish to submit to you proposed chinges.
