National Press Building IN RESPONSE REFER Washington, DC 20045 TO F0lA-79-139

Dear Mr. Kranish:

This is in response to your letter dated April 24, 1979, in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, records between officials of Metropolitian Edison Cempany and NRC regarding the Three Mile Island Incident.

The enclosed report, " Title List-Publicly Available Documents-Three Mile Island Unit 2-Docket 50-320" and the attached printouts identify those records subject to your request on the Unit 2 Reactor which have been disclosed publicly as of June 20, 1979.

These records have been placed in Docket File 50-320 at the NRC Public Document Room (PDR), 17i7 H Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20555 where they are available for public inspection and copying.

The charge for reproducing these records is eight cents ($0.08) per page, as specified in 10 CFR 9.14(a) of the Commission's regulations.

Copies can be obtained by writing directly to the PDR. You will be billed directly by the PDR Reproduction Contractor, Potomac Research, Inc.

There are also three publicly available litigation files relevant to the Three Mile Island Unit 2 Reactor; all are entitled Chauncey Kepford v.

NRC and are located in Dockets 78-1160, 78-1933 and 78-2170 of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, U.S.

Courthouse, Constitution Avenue and John Marshall Place, N.W., Washington, D.C.

This completes action on your request.
