Dear Mr. Grier:

This letter is our complete response to IE Bulletin No. 79-03, forwarded to us on March 12, 1979, concerning longitudinal wela defects in ASME SA-312 type 304 stainless steel pipe spools manufactured by Youngstown Welding and Jagineering Company.

We have completed our review of the pertinent records and have determined that no pipe spools manufactured by Youngstown Welding and Engineering Company are installed in safety related systems at Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station.
