.1DWARD...? ALKENSTEIN 30 KILCREASE CIRCLE PARADISE, CALIFORNIA 95969 July 1, 1979 Mr. Denwood Ross Nuclear Regulatory Co =s.

Washington, D. C.

Dear Fr. Ross:

Iour name has appeared in California papers in cen-nection with the re-opening of the Rancho Seco nuclear plant, and I want to congratulate you on your decision to put that facility back again into operation.

We ha e too many cranks in California including Gover-v nor Brow 3, who know nothing about nuclear activity and who are opposing its use in such plants as Rancho Seco. We learn that Brown in San Luis Obispo this week has been shouting about pre-venting that facility from opening.

This is one citizen of California that sees no harm in using the atom in these plants. I hope you will continue to assist them to operate.

If you will pass this letter to co= mission members I am interested in letting them know the position of one California citizen.

Sincerely yours, MJ.k snbh
