REPORT OF ACTIVITIES AT THREE MILE ISLAND 1.

1200, S/8/79 Assigned to Environmental Survey Team Duty Hours:
8 4 shift 2.
Surmary of Activities Performed: Assigned as Environmental Survey Team Leader, 8-4 shift.
Routine duties included taking environmental radiacion surveys on the East and/or West side of the Susquhanna
.Lver in the morning and afternoon, obtaining one hour air grab samp es during these surveys, collecting soil and grass samples, changing filters on the three continuous air samplers, obtaining goat's milk samples, composite water samples, and other radiation surveys as required.

Comments on Licensee Operations:
Very little contact was made with licensee personnel.
4.
Connents on IE Operations: During this period the magnitude of radioactivity releases from Unit 2 were so low as to be essentially non-detectable off-site.
Routine environmental surveys served to establish that radiation levels off-site were consistent with natural background levels for the Middletown area.
