Hendrie, Chairman Nuclear Regulatory' Commission Washington, D.C. 20555

Dear Mr. Hendrie,

I am writing to submit to NRC a bill for expenses incurred by my family as a result of the voluntary e-vacuation during the height of the Three Mile Island c r f.s is.

The basis for th-bill is that by being aware of the deficiencies of the reactors and not taking proper action, NRC is responsible for my family having to flee this area.

The amount of the expenses incurred is $200.

This amount covers two round trips tc Hamden, Connecticut (gas, tolls, and food), overnight stay at a motel near Philadelphia, long distanca phone calls to Connecticut, Ohio and New York City.

If I do not receive a proper response within thirty days, I will commence appropriate legal action.

Sincerely, Philip Starr CC: Congressman Robert S.
