During the period 5/10-5/18, I worked the 12-8 shift.

Hours spent cutside this shift included a one hour site HP/ Security orientation by TMI on 5/9, two hours of mask qualification on 5/10, and four hours of system hydro checks on 5/12.

2.

Activities included observation of oserations occurring on the 12-8 shi#t sten as maintaining pressurizer level, stack exhaust monitoring, and status of new systems being installed.

Participated in NRC witnessing of hydro leak checks on two occassions.

3.

Observations of licensee operations appeared to be ccmpleted in accordance with instructions provided.

Significant delays into the auxiliary building were noted due to limited availatdlity of dir hose and other respiratory equipment.

4.

Observations of NRC Operations a.

IE operators at the site were divided into three distinct work groups of environmental, radiation protection and operations.

Connunication between these groups and NRR activities could be improved especially for shift personnel.

Circulating the Daily Report and p'

q agenda helped in this regard.

Collection of pertinent inst

..uns and use of logs is recommended.
