i ETI?,COUCTION The ecology of York F.aven Pand near the Three u.ile Island ?,*ucicar S tation (T'4I'3) has been under investi;2 tion since February 1974.

Studies initiated in April 1974 include analysis of ambient -tater qualiev, ichthyoplankton (far-ficid), ichthycplankton entraim :nt, nacrainvertchrates, fish population dy-,-ics, inminge ent of fiches, creel suriey, and ther.21 plu=e =pping.

The data coding program was initiated in January 1979.

This report discusces the progress of I_nvesti;ations conducted in Fe':ruary 1979.

Progress: Creel survcys were c.n 'ucted on 8,11, 24, and 27 February (Table 1) only at York "a;en Ocncrating Station due to ice and high river flows.

The scien anglers interviewed fished 6.75 hours8.680556e-4 days <br />0.0208 hours <br />1.240079e-4 weeks <br />2.85375e-5 months <br /> and caught two carp; both were releascd (Table 6).

The =can catch per effort was 0.30.

All the anglers interviewed eere residents of York County. Most of the anglers reported they eat sc e of their catch.
