Federal Register Notice NtJCLEAR REGUI.ATORY CCWi!SSION ADVISORY CO}MITTEE ON REACTOR SAFEGUARDS THREE MILE ISLAND NUCLEAR STATION, U'iIT 2 SUBCOM'ilTTEE Notice of Meeting The ACRS Subcormittee on the Three Mile Island Nuclear Station, Unit 2 will hold a meeting on June 6-7, 1979 in the Pennsylvania S'. ate University Capitol Campus Auditorita, Middle +own, PA 170S7 to d:scuss technical de. tails of the March 28, 1979 incident at this Station.

In accordance with the procedures outlined in the Federal Register on October 4,19'/8 (43 FR 45926), oral or written statements may be presented by mm.bers of the public, recordings will be pemitted only during those portions of the taeting when a transcript is being kept, and questions may be asked only by merbens of the Subcomittee, its consultants, and Staff.

Persons desiring to make oral statements should notify the Designated Federal Employee as far in advance as practicable so that cppropriate arrangements can be made to alicw the necessary time during the meeting for such statements.

The agenda for subject r.eeting shall be as follcws:

Wednesday, June 6,1979:

1:00 o.m. until conclusion of business that day.

Thursday, June 7,1979:

8:30 a.m. Until conclusion of business that day.

The Subconnittee may meet in Executive Session, with any of its consultants who may be present, to e plore and exchange their prelimi-nary opinions regarding matters w'nich should be considered during the meeting and to fomulate a report and recozendation to the full Com-mittee.

pgg gq At the conclusion of the Executive Session, the Subcommittee will discuss with representatives of the NRC Staff and representatives of the Metropolitan Edison Cr.pany, et al, natters identified in the initial s ess ion.

, In addition, it may be necessary for the S'ubcomittee to hold one or rare closed sessions for the purpose of exploring matters in-volving proprieta;y infomation.

I have detemined, in accordance with Subsection 10(d) of Public Law 92-463, that, should such sessions be required, it is necessary to close these sessions to protect pro-prietary infonnation (5 U.S.C. 552b(c)(4)).

Further infonnation regarding topics to be discussed whether the meeting has been cancelled or rescheduled, the Chainnan's ruling on requests for the opportunity to present oral statecents and the time allotted therefor can be obtained by a precaid telephone call to the Designated Federal Employee for this meeting, Mr. Ragrraald Muller, (telephone 202/634-1413) between 8:15 a.m.

and 5:00 p.m., EDT.
