As a result of the meeting with your staff on April 12, 1979 regarding the final draft review of the Fundamental Nuclear Materials Control Plan, we are enclosing the Measurement Control Plan as Attach-ment I to this letter.
Since further information was needed in Chapter 3 and 4 to fully address the questions and comments of the April 12, 1979 meeting, we have enclosed the revised Chapters 3 and 4 to reflect those questions and comments.
Also, in response to questions regarding measurement control of activities described in Section 3.2.1(c) of the Fundamental Nuclear Materials Control Plan, we are enclosing as Attachment II to this letter a detailed explanation of the section in question.
Attachment III to this letter pertains to the nethod used for scale calibration and our response to your request regarding the repeated application of standards for scale calibration.
The enclosed Page-Date Index specifies the current status of the Fundamental Nuc1 car Materials Control Plan as of April 27, 1979.
Ir order to effectively implenent the detailed provisions of the Measutenent Control Program, we request approval of a phased irpienenta-tion plan which will reach 1000 completion within 90 days of th' approval date. This implementation period is needed to assure that the personnel largely responsibic for performing measurement control studies and analyses
