University of California - Irvine, Docket Number 50-326, License Number R-116, Reactor Director Transition Purpose By way of this letter, the University of California, Irvine is informing the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission of a change of the person assigned the role of the Reactor Director.

Background

In accordance with the UCI Technical Specifications part 6.7.2, upon permanent changes in facility organization involving Level 1 or Level 2 personnel, it is required of the licensee to officially notify the U. S. NRC within 30 days via written report.

Discussion The personnel fulfilling the organizational structure at the UCI NRF have changed recently due to tasking by the Chemistry department as of .August 9th, 2019 as described below by the departing personnel and their incumbent replacement personnel:

1. Reactor Director: Dr. .Athan Shaka has turned over to Dr. Rachel l\1artin.

Action UCI NRF requests NRC review and acknowledge the information contained in this letter at your earliest convenience.
