fiEETIflG WITri If1DUSIRY REPRESENTATIVES A brief meeting was held on June 12, 1979 with the following to discuss certain of the actions now being taken by the industry in response to the TMI-2 accident:

H. Denton (NRR)

J. Selby R. Mattson (NRR)

F. Linda R. Tedesco (NRR)

W. Lee (0P)

S. Berstein (CP)

J. Kearny (EEI)

G. White A plan was described by F. Lewis (EPRI), Chairman of the TMI Ad Hoc Nuclear Over-sight Committee to study the affects of TMI. A series of detailed technical reports will be issued by the consortium to cover the following:

operating plant interfaces

- core behavior

- primary coolant thermal-hydraulic history instrument and computer characteristics

- hydrogen generation and history

- radiological pathways R. J. Mattson will be general NRC point of contact with the consortium.

The efforts are directed to conduct an in-depth comprehensive study of T"! to further ensue the safety and operability of nuclear pawsr planta.

Initial resources in-clude about 3.5 x 106 dollars.
