TMI BRIEFING FOR FOREIGN GOVERNMENT VISITORS

J. DAVIS AND R. RYAN This is in response to your request to arrange for NRR participation in k"
the briefing of foreign governrent visitors on TMI-2. We will be. prepared to address those agenda itame assigned to NRR in the enclosure to the La fleur memorandum for the period 5/21 - 5/22 We understand that PSS is checking into D. Vollmer's availability and willingness to handle NRR briefing activities at the site on 5/23.
The following is a listing of the agenda items that involve NRR and a summary of the individual presentations:

Monday, 5/21/79 a.
9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
I&E (J. Ledoux) has been contacted. They have an instructon (Art Oxfurth) who is very knowledgeable in TMI-2 systems and has a number of vugraphs already prepared.
I&E has indicated that Art is available and willing to handle this presentation.
(f Thus, lead on this item is now with I&E (Oxfurth).

Activities of Interest (I&E and NRP,)
Arrangements have been made for the following presentations:
(1) Brian Grimes s45 minutes Status o f TMI radiological releases - sampling programs (2)
Ralph Meyer 430 minutes TMI-2 Core Conditions / analysis (3)
Gary Holahan s30 minutes TMI-2 Thermal Hydraulics Each speaker plus an I&E representative will be available throughout this session to answer questions.

Effects of TMI-2 on other B&W Plants (NRR1 Our presentation will be along the lines of the one we gave to the ACRS on 5/10, appropriately updated thru 5/18. We will deal with bulletin items, orders, responses, and anticipated future actions on the operating B&W plants. Tom Cox and I will handle.

Effects of TMI-2 on all other LWR's (NRR)
Again, our presentation would be similar to that given to ACRS on 5/10 for the C-E, W, and BWR plants updated thru 5/18. We will deal with the bulletin items, responses, orders (if any) and anti-cipated future actions for each of these plant types.

No formal presentation required - Dr. Mattson has agreed to be the NRR representative and, thus, will be available to answer questions.
