MET-ED/TMI EMPLJYEES CAR CRASH VICTLMS A 28 year-old mother of two was killed early Saturday morning and two co-workers were injured when their auto veered off the Lancaster Pike near Reading and into the path of another vehicle.

The three were Met-Ed e=ployees returning to Reading from TMI assignments.

Pronounced dead on arrival at Coc= unity General Hospital in Reading was Deborah A. Bayus, who worked in Met-Ed's accounts payable department in Reading.

She had worked in the tvning pool of the administration trailer #13.

She was asleep in the back seat of the car at the time of theaccident.

Driver of the foreign compact was Evelyn Gibble who was in the inteasive care unit, but later was listed in fair condition with fractured ribs and other =ultiple injuries.

She works as a secretary in business office operations in Reading's corporate division.

At TMI she was a steno in the task manage =ent trailer.

Ren Mijka, who works in Reading's Central Division consumer services department, was in the front passenger's seat and sustained a knee injury and multiple cuts.

He was working in security at TMI.

All three worked until midnight Friday before the 1 a.m. accident.

According to police reports, the vehicle hit a large bump on the Lancaster pike, about a half mile north of the Lancaster county line, near Mike's Diner.

The car veered off the road, but when the driver b ro'.tgn t it back to the road, the car crossed into the southbound lane and collided with an oncoming car.

SEUTTLE ADJUSTMENTS Only one shuttle bus is now operating between motels and the island.

KEEP RUNNING RECORDS Please be sure to fill out a running record for all Met-Ed vehicles on the Island.

Employees with permanently assigned vehicles should continue to co=plete their running records monthly.

All other vehicles should have a running record filled out at least weekly, preferably Fridays.

Running records should be turned in to the transportation trailer #22, unl ss the vehicle is routinely returning to its home base.

RECL J GAS PURCHASES Anyone purchasing gasoline at outside service stations for Met-Ed vehicles should be completing outside auto expense for=s after each purchase.

Blank forms can be obtained from transportation trailer #22.
