,- public statement hearing will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 1979 at the Legislative Chambers, 46 East Bridge Street, Oswego, New York.
Hearings will begin at 1:00 p.m. and conclude no later than 4 :00 p.m. ;
hearings will resume.it 7:00 p.m. and conclude no later than 11:00 p.m.
The Oswego hearing is scheduled primarily for the purpose of taking statements from those members of the public residing in the vicinity of the preferred site i.1 the Town of New Haven.
The second public statement hearing will be held on Thursday, June 14, 1979 at the Convention Center, The Governor Nelson A.
Rockefeller Empire State Plaza, Albany, New York.
Hearings will begin at 1:00 p.m. and conclude no later than 4:00 p.m.; hearings will resume at 7:00 p.m. and conclude no later tnan 11: 00 p.m.
The Albany hear _ng is being scheduled primarily for the purpose of taking statements from interested memb.:rs of the public residing in the vicinity of the alternate site in the Tcwn of Stuyvesant, Columbia County.
For the conven-ience of those driving to the Convention Center from the Tcwn of Stuyvesant and vicinity for the afternoon session, parking will be available at the Philip Street lot and the F-1 and P-2 (North) areas of the ""cire State Plaza for tha sum of $1.00 per car.
For the eveni., session, parking will be available at no charge.
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the public statement hearing in Oswego will be followed (at the same location) with a special pre-hearing conference to begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 23. 1979.
At the special prehearing CJ nference the NRC's Atomic Safety and Licensing Board will consider:
petitions to intervene in the Federal proceeding, the specification of contentions, the establish-ment of procedural schedules, and such other matters which may be appropriate for censideration under the NRC's Rules of Practice for domestic licensing proceedings, 10 CFR H 2.751(a) et seq.
Procedural matters peculiar to Case 80008 also may be the subjects of discussion at the special prehearing conference to be held on May 23, 1979.
Parties to the Federal proceeding are advised that supplements to the peti -icns to intervene referred to in 5 2.714 (b) of the NRC's Rules of Practice may be filed en or before May 11, 1979.
The answers referred to in Paragraph (c) of this section should be delivered by hand to the Atcmic Safety and Licensing Board Panel, Room 450, East West Towers, 4350 East West Highway, Bethesda, Ma.yland, no later than 4:00 p.m.
On May 18, 1979.
In view of the abbreviated time for answering, the Scard will entertain requests for supplemental answers.
