'. 3 1.0 PURPOSE The purpose of this procedure is to set up a schedule for Calibration of Health Physics Portable / Lab Instruments.

2.0 DISCUSSION All instruments pertaining to Health Physics shall be calibrated on a regularly scheduled interval.

Colibration dates will be logged in the Health Physics Instrumentation Log Bcok.

Revision 4 12/01/77 5.2 Instrument checks will be performed as per Table 1749-1.

Dates will be logged in the Health Physics Instrumentation Log Book.

5.3 Instruments requiring efficiency deteroinations will have the

efficiencies calculated as a minimum once per week.

All fficiencies will be documented in the Lab Instrument Background and Efficiency Log Book.

5.4 Any instrument not satisfactorily meeting the check and frequency r equirements above shall not be placed in use until the appropriate check or calibration is performed and docua.ented.
