1625.2 Revision 0 09/01/76 THREE MILE ISLAND NUCLEAR STATI0tt STATION HEALTH PHYSICS PROCEDURE 1625.2 Emergency Plan During New Fuel Handling - Unit 2 1.0 PURPOSE The purpose of this docualent is to define the emergency plan to be followed for evacuation of the Fuel Storage and Reactor Buildings.
2.0 DESCRIPTION
Met-Ed Supervisors are to order evacuation of the Fuel Handling or Reactor Buildings in the event a radiation alarm sounds or a fuel assembly is dropped.
Personnel evac,uatir.g the area are to go dir2ctly to the Emergency Control Station.
3.0 REFERENCES
3.1 TMI Radiation Emergency Plar-and Procedures - AP 1003.
4.0 INSTRUCTIONS 4.1 Conditions Requiring Evacuation.
4.1.1 Alarms signals from any of the following radiation alarms:
H.P.-R-223 RM-A4 (Uni t - 1 )
RM-A8 (Unit - 1)
Victoreen VAMP 4.1.2 Dropped fuel assembly.
4.1.3 Any other condition determined by:
Shift Foreman / Supervisor Radiation Protection Supervisor / Foreman

4.2.1 Upon a conditon requiring evacuation, all personnel shall go immediately to the Emergency Control Station, located at the 306' elevation in the Control Building of Unit I.
The route to the Emergency Control Station shall be marked by red arrows.
4.2.2 Refer to Administrative Procedure 1003 for further instructions.
4.2.3 After evacuation, health physics personnel shall don suitable protective clothing and respiratory protection devices and conduct appropriate radiological surveys.
If required, the tifected fuel assemblie(s) shall also be surveyed.
4.2.4 Based on the above survey results, the Shif t Supervisor / Foreman will either permit re-entry and resumption of fuel handling operations or await instructions from the Duty Engineer.
