APR 2 3 G79 Revision 1 01/28/78 THREE MILE ISLAND NUCLEAR STATION UNIT #2 SURVEILLANCE PROCEDURE #2301-M7 ECCS SUBSYSTEM VALVE POSITION VERIFICATION 1.0 PURPOSE To insure compliance with TMI Unit #2 Technical Specifications, Sections 4.5.2(b) and 4.5.3.(b) which state:
Each ECCS subsystem shall be demonstrated OPERABLE at least once per 31 days by:
(1) Verifying that the LP injection cross-over valves are locked, sealed or otherwise secured in their closed position.
(2) Verifying that each valve (manual, power operated or automatic) in the flow path that is not lo:ked, sealed, or otherwise secured in position, is in its correct position.
2.0 APPLICA3LE SURVEILLANCE FREQUE!.CY AND MODES Surveillance Frequency:
31 days (M).
Surveillance Modes: 1,2,3,4.
3.0 LIMITS AND PRECAUTIONS 3.1 Do not reposition any valve without first notifying the Shift Su pervisor/ Foreman.
3.2 Obtain a Radiation Work Permit before entering any radiation area per AP1003.
4.0 LOCATION OF SYSTEM / ASSEMBLIES 4.1 The valves are loca+,ed throughout the Auxiliary Building per the appropriate attachment.

&ly 6.1 If the unit is in Mode 1, 2 or 3, then verify that each valve on the attached lists is in its required position.
6.2 If the unit is in Mode 4, then verify the valves are correctly positioned per Attach;Sent A or B and C or D.
6.3 Initial the line up sheet for each valve checked.
6.4 tiotify the Shift Foreman if any valve is found not correctly positioned.
7.0 ACCEPT ~ANCE CRITERIA 7.1 Each valve on the applicable attachment (s) must be in the position indicated on the list.
7.2 If the valves are not correctly positioned for all the attachments during Modes 1, 2 or 3, then proceed with Action Statement of section 3.5.2(a).
7.3 If the valves are not correctly ) asitioned per Attachment A or 8 and C or D during mode 4, then proceed with Action Statement of section 3.5.3 (a) & (b).
7.4 One seal injection filter must be lined up for system operation.
The standby filter may be valved out.
